I'm a full-stack engineer skilled in frontend and backend development, passionate about building and designing end-to-end systems. I like to learn new technologies and teach things I know well. I've contributed to a range of products, from startups experiencing rapid growth to established tech companies, focusing on scaling up safely and helping everyone on the team level up.
In my next role I'd like to lead and influence other engineers on software development principles and help guide architecture and system design discussions. Ideally this role provides freedom to move across the stack and allows me to have an impact on the engineering culture across the organization.
Below is a summary of recent work history. For an exhaustive curriculum vitae, let me know.
Spotify May 2019 – December 2023
At Spotify I contributed to several teams across the business focused on podcasts and audiobooks. I built creator tools while working on the website for anchor.fm, now known as Spotify for Podcasters. I also built the listener experience when my team added audiobooks into the Spotify music app.
Senior Engineer December 2021 – December 2023
Led the web implementation of audiobook top-ups, a new product that enables the company to compete with other audiobook subscription providers.
Served as release manager for audiobook top-ups in the US; facilitated the release across multiple markets, including Australia and UK.
Developed the Audiobook UI for Spotify desktop and mobile web players, allowing purchase and consumption of audiobooks and creating a new revenue stream.
Provided support and consultancy for internal teams (trust & safety, user accounts, enterprise products) to build web applications using podcast and audiobook data.
Web EngineerMay 2019 – December 2021
I built anchor.fm (now Spotify for Podcasters) with TypeScript, React, and Node on AWS while improving code quality and documentation as the platform scaled from startup mode to a mature, market-leading product.
Contributed to Anchor’s hypergrowth era from May 2019 to December 2021 when market share grew from 40 to 80% and web engineering headcount increased from three to fourteen.
Helped build and maintain a frontend team culture of documentation and knowledge-sharing.
Mentored engineers and led mob programming sessions while contributing to open source, reducing error reporting costs, and improving platform stability.
Helped integrate Anchor and Spotify tech platforms while building Spotify-exclusive listener features for the Anchor creator tool (Music + Talk, Polls, and Q&A).
Integrated into the web development community and taught onboarding engineers how to be productive in the Spotify stack.

Drove team conventions for React/Rails integration, client state management, and GraphQL.
Built web-based tools for new markets and products, such as business credit cards and credit monitoring through TransUnion.
Collaborated with product and design to build user experiences from wireframes and product specs.
